November 12th, 2020 - "Code Red"

"Effective Thursday, November 12th the province of Manitoba
has been moved to “Code Red” on the MB Pandemic Response levels.
The restrictions during Code Red do not allow for social gatherings.
As a result all programs and activities at the Social Scene have been cancelled.
The office remains open via telephone calls &/or email.
Please continue to do your part & stay safe.

November 2nd, 2020 - "Code Orange"

​With the recent announcements by Dr. Roussin, Chief Provincial Public Health Officer, the
Restart MB Pandemic Response level for the Interlake-Eastern Region has been changed to “Code Orange”. 
Effective Monday, November 2nd, 2020 the East Beaches Social Scene must
limit group gatherings to a maximum of 5 people.   
​As a result, for the next two weeks’ all programs and activities scheduled at the East Beaches Social Scene have been cancelled and will be rescheduled once capacity restrictions have been lifted.

Masks are now mandatory

  As per directives from the IERHA  (Interlake Eastern Regional Health Authority), use of non medical masks are now mandatory at the East Beaches Social Scene.
"All health services owned or operated by a Service Delivery  Organization (SDO) * Interlake-Eastern RHA is now known as a Service Delivery Organization (SDO)*  or that hold a service purchase agreement with an SDO are expected to implement this non-medical mask requirement. This  includes Access Centers, primary care offices located in Interlake-Eastern RHA facilities and community agencies associated with Interlake-Eastern RHA are included in this requirement.  All service providers are expected to alert clients/patients and customers of the requirement for non-medical masks and the exceptions for those
individuals who are unable to wear a mask for a medical reason(s)”

Senior Centres
 All staff, volunteers, program facilitators/instructors & participants must wear a mask when they are in the building.
As a courtesy to our members, participants and community, we ask that you wear a mask at all times when in the  building, unless you are eating or drinking.
 
Covid-19 - Update: Re-opening of the East Beaches Social Scene 
Welcome back!! It has been a long up-hill battle but here we are…
The Board of Directors are excited to announce that we have now moved on to
Phase 2 of our gradual reopening strategy. 
What does that mean, you ask…
For our Club that means greater access to programming activities and increased access to the building. Although, drop-in visits are not available at this time, please feel free to call ahead to book your appointment.
Phase 2 includes:
 AA Meetings, Photography Classes, Quilting Club, Tai Chi Class, Fitness Class, Line Dancing, access to the kitchen with sanitation protocols, bookings for small community meetings, presentations & workshops in small groups.  

An increase to the main hall occupancy (up to 25 people at one time).
As well, increased access to:
 VB Branch Allard Library - (204)756-2043 - Wednesday, Friday 10am to 2pm via phone &/or email.
Also the “click & collect” program will remain in place.
Pick up hours: Noon to 2pm
 
EB Resource Centre -  (204)756-6471 – Monday & Friday via phone &/or email.
In office visits on Wednesdays by appointment only.  
                                               
EB Social Scene Office - (204)756-6468 - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, regular hours by appointment only.
 
We are awaiting future instruction and guidelines from the Provincial Government

 and are looking toward planning for our Phase 3 openings.
