What is #GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday is the world’s largest generosity movement. Founded in 2012, its goal is to establish an annual day dedicated to giving.
In 2013, CanadaHelps and several other founding partners introduced GivingTuesday to Canada.
GivingTuesday is now recognized as the official kickoff to the year-end giving season and ranks as one of the top fundraising days of the year for charities.

The GivingTuesday Movement is a global generosity movement that has led to millions of dollars in donations and countless acts of generosity, kindness, and civic participation the world over.  It was created as a simple idea: A day to encourage people to do good.   It has grown into a global movement that inspires millions of people to donate, volunteer, and spread awareness.
